It started on December 15th, seeing this post on Reddit from Estragon94. Seeing this was a big relief for me, with Christmas approaching. It is a really nice lamp, quite simple to build in 9 days, and this idea is just great, reusing a glass block, an object I see as a bit dated, highlighted on a simple wooden base. I would have loved to reuse an existing block, but with the delay I had, and the fact that I wanted to build 3 lamps, the easiest was to buy new ones. Something I was ignoring before building this is that the glass blocks are painted white on all four sides. So I grabbed an old knife and scratched off this white paint. The rest of the build is straightforward. I used 5V LEDs I had, put an on/off switch on one side, a power plug on the other.
